Elaine Hasek has enjoyed a breakout sophomore season for the women's basketball team. Hasek is averaging 9.3 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Jackets, who are 16-5 overall and in third place in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) standings with an 11-3 conference record.
The former Fighting Planet is coming off of maybe her top performance as a collegiate player. She posted her first collegiate double-double by pouring in 19 points and 10 rebounds in Waynesburg's 74-66 win over then PAC-leading Saint Vincent, including 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range.
The first-year starter averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game over a pair of PAC victories for the Jackets last week and has started all 21 of Waynesburg’s games this season.
